Tamara A. Sutherland, MD, FAAP, attended the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine And Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, NY, and received her medical degree in 2000. Then, she served her internship and pediatric residency at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. In addition, Dr. Sutherland received board certification in pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2012, she was included in the Top Docs issue of the Richmond Magazine. She was also recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics with several awards for exceeding the standard requirements for continuing medical education. Dr. Sutherland dedicates her spare time to traveling, spending time outdoors, reading, teaching, and going to the beach.
